Your K-Cup Has Been Sitting in a Warehouse for Months
That grocery store pod? It was roasted long before it hit the shelf. Coffee starts losing flavor within weeks of roasting — which is why your morning cup tastes flat, no matter how nice your machine is.
Angelino's does it differently. A third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, they roast, grind, and seal every pod in-house for peak freshness, then ship it to your door within days of roasting. The difference is the first thing you'll notice: real aroma, real flavor, no bitterness.
Mix and match from 50+ specialty coffees, teas, and flavored blends — all Keurig®-compatible — and save more with every box you add, up to 34% off at 12+. Order once whenever you're running low, or subscribe for an extra 5% if that's easier. Entirely up to you.
New customers get 15% off their first order — applied automatically, no code needed.

📅 42 Years Strong: Lake Catholic's Holiday Craft Fair Returns With 150+ Crafters

Holiday shopping season is almost here, and one of Mentor's longtime traditions is getting ready for another big year!
Lake Catholic's 42nd Annual Performing Arts Craft Fair returns Saturday, November 7, with more than 150 crafters—and organizers say every vendor space is already filled.
For shoppers, that means plenty of opportunities to discover unique gifts, browse handmade creations and enjoy a festive afternoon. A bake sale, food, raffles and door prizes add to the fun.
But there's more to this tradition than holiday shopping. All proceeds benefit Lake Catholic's performing arts programs, helping support the school's young performers.
The fair runs 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at 6733 Reynolds Road in Mentor. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors 60+, and free for children 12 and under. Admission tickets are cash-only at the door.
📰 Mentor Police Contract Brings 4% Raises and Top Base Pay Above $110,000
Mentor City Council unanimously approved a new three-year police officers’ contract on October 20, with 4% raises in each year, retroactive to March 31, 2026.
The actual salary schedule provides a clearer picture: the highest annual base-pay step is $102,214 in 2026 and rises to approximately $110,555 in 2028. Those are top-step rates—not every officer’s salary—and exclude overtime and other compensation.
The agreement also shortens advancement through the six-level pay schedule from five years to four. Qualifying officers at Step 5 can receive a $2,230 annual firearms proficiency allowance, compared with the previous $1,030, and officers gain additional ways to cash out accrued time.
The city's materials do not give a total three-year contract cost.

🔐 Mentor Plans Security Upgrades at 19 City Buildings
The City of Mentor is planning a $425,000 security technology upgrade covering 19 municipal buildings, including several popular community facilities.
The project would replace older electronic door-access systems and introduce new security controls at buildings that don't currently have them.
Locations include City Hall, the police and fire departments, Mentor Recreation Center, Senior Center, Civic Ice Arena, Mentor Lagoons Marina, Wildwood Cultural Center and other city properties.
The new system would allow the city to manage authorized access across multiple buildings from one central platform, while connecting with existing security cameras and alarm systems.
For residents, the important distinction is that this is primarily a building-security upgrade—not an announced change to public visiting hours or entry requirements.
The $425,000 figure is an estimated construction cost, not a finalized expense. The city is currently accepting contractor bids, with work to follow after a contract is awarded.

🌿 Evergreen: Make Your Phone Easier for Your Own Eyes and Hands
One small adjustment can make a familiar phone more comfortable. Start with what bothers you—and know how to put it back.
You open a message and move the phone farther away, then closer again. Or your finger lingers on an app and a menu appears when all you wanted was to open it.
Small frustrations like these can become part of the routine. We adjust ourselves around the phone without considering whether the phone could adjust to us.
Its default settings are simply a starting point.
Choose one thing that regularly gets in your way. If messages feel too small, try increasing the text size a little. On an iPhone, go to Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Larger Text. On Android, open Settings and search for Font size. Check the result in an app you actually use; some apps respond differently.
If the words are large enough but look too faint, bold text may be a better experiment. If extra menus open unexpectedly, touch-and-hold timing is worth exploring. Captions can help you follow supported videos without depending entirely on sound.
The important part is how you experiment: change one setting, try one familiar task, and keep a way back.
Before changing anything, record the original setting with a screenshot or a note. Then make a modest adjustment and read a message, check your calendar or watch a short video.
Is it easier? Can you still find the buttons you need? Would you rather return to the way it was?
There is no prize for keeping a change that does not suit you.
If someone is helping, ask them to explain the adjustment and show you how to reverse it. You can welcome their knowledge while keeping the decisions yours.
You do not need to master every feature. Making one everyday task a little easier is a worthwhile result.
Start with the part of your phone that frustrates you most: our step-by-step iPhone and Android guide shows you what to try, how to test it and how to put it back.
➡️ Find your starting point in our phone-comfort guide, with separate iPhone and Android steps, a familiar-task test for each adjustment, and clear instructions for putting things back.

Lake Catholic Heads to Youngstown for Win-or-Go-Home Playoff Test
Cougars face Ursuline Friday night, with a trip to the regional quarterfinals on the line.
Lake Catholic's football season comes down to one Friday night in Youngstown.
The ninth-seeded Cougars (6-4) visit eighth-seeded Ursuline (6-4) at 7 p.m. Friday, October 30, at Rayen Stadium in the opening round of the Division III, Region 9 playoffs.
The running game could decide this matchup. In Lake Catholic's recent 28-7 victory over Holy Name, Giovanni Magistrelli rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns, while Danny Zmorowski added 95 yards and two scores.
Ursuline counters with Vinnie Fecko, who has 15 rushing touchdowns this season according to MaxPreps.
Lake Catholic will also look to junior quarterback Max Pisano, who recently surpassed 1,000 passing yards, to help keep Ursuline's defense off balance.
Both teams are looking to rebound from regular-season finale losses. Friday's winner advances to face undefeated Willoughby South on November 6.
