The facility promises to offer year-round pickleball in a respectful and encouraging environment, promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles for all ages.

📰 Street-Legal Golf Carts: Not Allowed on Mentor Roads

In 2017, an Ohio law came into effect allowing unconventional vehicles, including specially outfitted golf carts, to be street legal on roadways with a posted speed limit of up to 35 miles per hour. This legislation has led to an increase in the number of golf carts seen on Ohio roadways. However, potential buyers should be cautious about where these vehicles can be used.

Despite the availability of "street-legal" golf carts, their use on public roads is still prohibited in many Ohio communities, including Mentor. State lawmakers have given local authorities the power to decide whether these vehicles can operate on their streets. Due to the heavy traffic in Mentor, city officials have deemed these vehicles a safety risk and have banned them from public roads, sidewalks, and bike paths.

Residents driving golf carts on public streets in Mentor may receive a traffic citation. For now, golf carts in Mentor are confined to golf courses and private properties.

Their convictions include charges of money laundering, illegal gambling, tax evasion, obstruction, and conspiracy. Both men will also undergo three years of supervised release.

Despite the legal challenge, Poppi maintains confidence in its product, which has gained popularity through strategic marketing efforts.

⚡Stay Energized and Uplifted with Age: Essential Tips

Aging brings wisdom and perspective, but it can also lead to a dip in energy levels. Fortunately, there are ways to maintain vitality and a positive mood through proper diet, exercise, and sleep.

Diet Adjustments Reevaluating your diet can have a significant impact on your energy and mood. With age, the body's ability to convert food into energy slows, leading to potential weight gain and decreased energy. Incorporate low-glycemic foods such as beans, non-starchy vegetables, nuts, and whole grains to help stabilize blood sugar levels. Avoid high-glycemic foods like white rice, white bread, and sugary drinks, which cause quick spikes and subsequent drops in blood sugar, leaving you feeling more tired.

Balancing Caloric Intake Maintaining the right balance of calorie intake is crucial. Consuming too few calories can leave you feeling drained, while too many can lead to weight gain and sluggishness. Consult with a doctor or dietitian to determine your daily caloric needs based on your activity level.

Staying Active Regular physical activity is essential for maintaining energy and improving mood. While your exercise routine may need to adapt with age, staying active is important. Consider lower-impact activities like swimming or cycling if high-impact exercises become difficult. Participating in fitness programs at local senior centers or finding a workout partner can also help keep you motivated.

Improving Sleep Quality Adequate rest is vital for overall health and energy. Aim for about seven hours of sleep each night. Improve your sleep routine by avoiding alcohol before bed, limiting caffeine intake to earlier in the day, and shutting off electronic devices well before bedtime. Keeping your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet, and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule can also enhance sleep quality.

Additional Tips

  • Reduce alcohol consumption, as its effects last longer with age.

  • Stay hydrated, as even mild dehydration can impact energy and mood.

  • Manage stress by simplifying your to-do list and taking breaks from stressful news.

  • Consult your doctor if persistent fatigue or depression occurs, as they may indicate underlying health issues like depression, heart disease, or sleep apnea.
