🚨 Chemical Reaction Hospitalizes Five After Chlorine Gas Leak

Residents in the local community have been advised to keep their toilet lids closed following a dangerous chemical incident. Five individuals were hospitalized with symptoms such as burning eyes, burning skin, and difficulty breathing after a significant chlorine gas release inside a home.

The incident occurred while the homeowner was preparing chlorine for a family pool, leading to a violent chemical reaction that produced a large amount of chlorine gas. According to the Eastlake Fire Department, the gas exposure affected all individuals present in the house.

Fortunately, the chlorine cloud did not extend beyond the residence, ensuring no risk to nearby residents. Firefighters conducted air tests outside the home, confirming the absence of any chemical traces.

Among the injured were two children, who were transported to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. The current conditions of both the children and the adults affected have not been disclosed.
