🫧 Polishing Every Detail: FTTB Cleaners Sets the Standard for Excellence
For 22 years, this family-owned business has elevated cleaning into a fine art, delivering unmatched care to homes and offices in Northeast Ohio.
On a sunny morning in Kirtland, Beth Allen inspects a chandelier gleaming under a stream of natural light. For Allen, the owner of FTTB Cleaners, this moment reflects the philosophy that has guided her company for 22 years: meticulous attention to detail.
“We’re not just here to clean—we’re here to transform spaces,” said Allen, a 30-year Kirtland resident with a background in business management and customer service. “Whether it’s scrubbing a floor by hand or cleaning ceiling fans, we don’t cut corners. That’s what sets us apart.”
A Local Business with a Deep Commitment to Quality
Founded over two decades ago, FTTB Cleaners offers a comprehensive suite of services, including residential and office cleaning, post-construction cleanup, move-in and move-out cleaning, organizing, and even gutter and window cleaning. In recent years, the company has added specialty services like holiday decorating, packing, and unpacking—efforts aimed at meeting the diverse needs of Lake County residents.
“Our clients don’t just need cleaning; they need trust and expertise,” Allen explained. “Every cleaner undergoes background checks, and we ensure they’re trained to handle everything from delicate surfaces to high-tech products.”
FTTB Cleaners has built a reputation for going beyond the basics. For example, the team specializes in challenging tasks such as chandelier cleaning—a meticulous process that requires knowledge of fragile materials and attention to detail. “We know which products to use on different surfaces, and we clean in ways that protect our clients’ investments,” Allen said.
A Heart for Community Giving
Allen credits FTTB Cleaners’ longevity to her loyal client base and the community, which has supported her business since its inception. In return, she has made it a priority to give back.
Every December, Allen and her team select a local family in need and provide complimentary cleaning services. “We want to take at least one stress off someone’s plate, especially during the holiday season,” she said. “It’s our way of saying thank you and spreading a little kindness.”
This spirit of generosity extends to other aspects of FTTB Cleaners’ work. “When we enter someone’s home, we’re not just there to clean; we’re there to help them feel at ease,” Allen added. “A clean, organized space can change how someone feels.”
Beth Allen: A Journey of Growth and Purpose
Allen didn’t always envision herself as a business owner. But her years in business management and customer service gave her an edge when she decided to start her company. She saw an opportunity to bring something unique to the cleaning industry: personalized service combined with professional-grade results.
“Back then, I noticed a gap. There were plenty of options, but not many were offering detailed, reliable, and consistent cleaning,” Allen said. “I wanted to create a company people could count on.”
For Allen, running FTTB Cleaners has been a deeply rewarding journey. “I’ve built this business from the ground up, and I’m proud of the trust we’ve earned,” she said.
Looking Ahead: A Future Built on Trust
As FTTB Cleaners enters its 23rd year, Allen is preparing to expand the company’s services to include more organizing and decorating projects, along with packing and unpacking services. These new offerings reflect a growing trend: homeowners and businesses are seeking more holistic solutions for managing their spaces.
“We’re constantly evolving to meet our clients’ needs,” Allen said. “Life is busy, and if we can make things easier for people, that’s our goal.”
Looking to the future, Allen remains focused on maintaining the same level of care and quality that has defined her business for over two decades. “It’s about relationships,” she said. “Our clients trust us to take care of their spaces, and that trust means everything to us.”
With its detailed approach, deep community ties, and innovative service offerings, FTTB Cleaners is more than a cleaning company—it’s a cornerstone in the community, making life a little brighter for everyone it serves. Contact us today!

⛄ Guide to Winter Safety and Snow Emergencies in Mentor
Winter is Here: Tips for Navigating Snow and Ice in Mentor.
A Northeast Ohio winter means snow and ice, with over 45 inches falling annually in Mentor. The City of Mentor Public Works Department prioritizes keeping main roads clear during storms before moving to side streets and cul-de-sacs.
For safe winter driving, slow down, allow extra time, and stay home during major storms when possible. Parking on city streets is prohibited during a Snow Emergency, allowing plows to work efficiently. Updates on parking bans are shared on the city’s social media accounts.
Residents and business owners should keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice and avoid pushing snow onto public walkways or roads. Contracted plow services must also pile snow on private property.
Help the Fire Department by shoveling around fire hydrants to ensure emergency access. Together, we can keep Mentor safe and accessible during the snowy season.

💪 Boost Your Immune Health: Avoid These Common Lifestyle Mistakes
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial for supporting your immune system. Every day, we make decisions that can either boost or harm our body’s natural defenses. Here are five common habits that can weaken the immune system and practical ways to improve them:
1. Excessive Alcohol Consumption
Alcohol can suppress immune function, leaving the body more vulnerable to stress, viruses, and disease. Limiting alcohol intake to one drink per day for women and two drinks per day for men can help maintain immune health.
2. Smoking
Smoking damages the lungs and overwhelms the immune system with toxins. Smokers often require additional vitamin C and other antioxidants to counteract the oxidative stress caused by smoking. Quitting smoking is one of the most effective ways to enhance overall health.
3. Overindulging in Processed Foods
Regular consumption of processed foods such as chips, cookies, refined grains, and deli meats can crowd out nutrient-rich options like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. A nutrient-poor diet weakens the immune system, making it harder to fend off illness. Incorporating more whole, unprocessed foods can help restore balance.
4. High Stress Levels
Chronic stress leads to inflammation, which disrupts immune function. Managing stress through techniques like deep breathing, walking, or regular exercise can lower stress levels and improve overall health. Exercise, in particular, helps regulate blood sugar and strengthens immunity.
5. Inadequate Sleep
Sleep is essential for the body’s repair and regeneration processes. Without enough rest, the immune system struggles to fight off infections and diseases. Establishing a consistent bedtime routine and prioritizing sleep can lead to significant improvements in immune resilience.
The Bottom Line
It’s never too late to adopt healthier habits. Small, consistent changes, like eating more nutritious foods, managing stress, or getting a better night’s sleep, can make a noticeable difference in your immune health and overall well-being.

🏀 Mentor Girls Suffer First Loss of Season in 53-43 Battle with Medina
The Mentor Cardinals girls' basketball team put up a strong fight on Monday but fell 53-43 to the undefeated Medina Bees in a competitive Greater Cleveland Conference matchup. Nina Rodriguez led the Cardinals with 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers that kept Mentor in contention early.
Medina held a slim 13-10 lead after the first quarter, but the Cardinals capitalized on Medina star Olivia Klanac’s foul trouble in the second, narrowing the deficit to 24-21 at halftime. Mentor briefly surged ahead in the third quarter, as Keira Coleman and Addison Keeper provided key baskets. However, Medina’s balanced offense, led by Addy Shook’s 18 points, proved too much in the final period, as the Bees finished on a decisive 15-5 run.
Despite the loss, Mentor demonstrated depth and resilience, with additional contributions from Lyla Willis and Hailey Watson. Now at 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference, the Cardinals (3-1) aim to bounce back in their upcoming game tonight against the North Rangers (3-1).
🏀 Lake Catholic Girls Basketball Team Shines in 54-27 Win
The Lake Catholic Cougars girls' basketball team delivered a commanding performance on Monday, defeating the Willoughby South Rebels 54-27. The Cougars maintained control throughout the game, showcasing their strength and strategic gameplay. With this victory, the Cougars advance to a 3-0 record, solidifying their position as a formidable team this season. They are set to face Chardon today, a team currently holding a 0-1 record, aiming to extend their winning streak. No other details were available at time of print.
