š«§ Aloe, Advocacy, and Empowerment: How One Skincare Expert Is Making a Difference in Mentor
With a commitment to natural skincare and community betterment, Nancy Sustersic is redefining wellness and resilience.
In a quiet corner of Mentor, Nancy Sustersic is building a business that is as much about transformation as it is about skincare. As an expert skincare specialist, Sustersic offers a personalized approach to wellness, with a product line rooted in the natural power of aloe vera. But her journey is far more than skin-deep ā itās one of perseverance, reinvention, and giving back.
Her story starts with loss but grows into one of resilience. At 40, Sustersic became a widow after her husband passed away from stomach cancer. As a single mother, she sought ways to support her family and cultivate a meaningful path forward. āIāve always had an interest in nutrition and staying well,ā she says, ābut it wasnāt until later in life that I realized how much of a difference good skincare could make, not just physically but emotionally.ā At 72, Sustersic discovered a skincare line that transformed her complexion and became the cornerstone of her business.

Two years and three months into her entrepreneurial journey, Sustersicās passion for her products and her customers is evident. She offers one-on-one consultations and complimentary facials, inviting clients to ātry before they buy.ā With a focus on natural ingredients ā every productās first ingredient is aloe, not water ā she emphasizes a clean, chemical-free approach. The product lineup includes everything from anti-aging serums to baby cleansers, vitamins, and even an aloe collagen drink for extra energy.
āWhat sets us apart is simple: our products work because theyāre pure,ā she says. āWhy pay for watered-down skincare when you can nourish your skin with something natural? I see it as an investment in yourself, and my clients see the results.ā
Her personal favorites? The Neck Firming Cream and the Turn Back Time set (āInsert Cher music here,ā she jokes with a smile.) ā products that not only deliver results but inspire a playful sense of confidence.
A Business Built on Community
While Sustersicās business operates out of her home, her presence is felt far beyond her Meadowlawn Drive address. From local coffee houses to community events, she makes it a point to connect with her clients where theyāre most comfortable. A proud member of the Mentor and Willoughby Chambers of Commerce, she values the relationships sheās built with other local entrepreneurs.
Beyond business, Sustersic and her husband Joe are active advocates for victims of human trafficking. For the past eight years, theyāve volunteered with organizations focused on rescue and recovery, raising awareness about an often-hidden crisis. āThis cause is very close to our hearts,ā she shares. āItās something that reminds us of the power of giving back, no matter where you are in life.ā
Her commitment to community also extends to local schools. On Dec. 19, sheāll volunteer at the Mentor Food for Schools program at Mentor High, helping to ensure that students in need have access to meals over the holidays.
āItās not just about running a business,ā Sustersic says. āItās about being part of something bigger ā something meaningful.ā
The Next Chapter
Looking ahead, Sustersic is excited to offer a few great new products in January 2025 that new and seasoned customers will love, a reflection of constant innovation.
Her goals for the future are simple but impactful: to expand her reach, educate more people about the benefits of aloe-based skincare, and maintain her focus on personalized service. āI want every client to feel like theyāre my only client,ā she explains. āThatās the beauty of working one-on-one ā itās about relationships, not just sales.ā This is what she teaches her team members. āJump in and enjoy the health and financial rewards with meā, she says.
Sustersic credits her husband Joe for being her biggest supporter. Together, theyāve built a business that reflects their values of wellness, integrity, and community. āJoe came into my life at a time when I wasnāt sure what the future would hold,ā she says. āNow, we get to build this dream together.ā
Skincare with a Purpose
At its core, bodyins.com is about more than beauty; itās about empowerment. From helping clients feel confident in their skin to supporting local causes, Sustersic sees her work as a way to make a lasting impact.
āMy life has been changed,ā she says. āIt gave me the tools to take control of my health, my confidence, and my future. And now I get to help others do the same. Thatās what makes this journey so rewarding.ā
As she prepares for the next phase of her business, Sustersic remains grounded in the values that have guided her so far: authenticity, service, and the belief that itās never too late to start anew.

š Cardinals Surge Past Panthers with Big Second-Half Performance
Mentorās tight defense faced a challenge in a Dec. 13 GCC matchup against Euclid, but a strong third quarter secured the Cardinals a 91-83 victory. Mentor improved to 3-0, while Euclid fell to 0-3.
The Panthers stayed competitive early, using quick outlet passes and transitions to counter Mentorās press. After trailing for much of the first half, the Cardinals took a slim halftime lead with key plays from Ayo Olulami and Kobe Frasure-Azzano.
Mentor adjusted in the third quarter, launching a 17-8 run fueled by Frasure-Azzanoās dominance inside. He tallied 24 points and eight rebounds, supported by Olulamiās game-high 25 points. The Kennedy brothers and Tony Katava added depth to Mentorās scoring.
Euclid, led by Jalin Acoff with 23 points and Thai Duncanās 21-point, 10-rebound double-double, rallied late but fell short. Duncanās three-pointer and transition dunk in the second half cut Mentorās lead to three, but Peter Kennedyās clutch shooting sealed the Cardinalsā win. Mentor faces Massillon next, while Euclid takes on Mayfield.
