❄️ Winter Weather System to Bring Inches of Snow, Sub-Freezing Temps
A widespread snow system moved into the region overnight Monday and continued into this morning, delivering steady snowfall across the area on Tuesday, with the heaviest activity occurring earlier in the day. Unlike lake-effect snow, this system will spread snow across a broad area, leading to snowy travel for your morning commute.
Accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected from the system itself. As it moves out mid-morning Tuesday, lake-effect snow will develop, mainly in localized bands through the afternoon and evening, potentially adding 1 to 3 more inches in some areas.
Key Impacts:
Morning commute: Snow-covered roads, low visibility, 2–5 inches of accumulation.
Afternoon/evening: Lake-effect snow could add 1–3 inches in select areas.
Cold temperatures: Highs stay below normal through Tuesday and beyond.

🪟 Essential Winterizing Guide: Expert Methods for Caulking and Sealing Windows
DIY Window Caulking: A Small Weekend Fix With Big Winter Benefits. The video above is 5 minutes and provides multiple options to stop heat from escaping through old windows. The article below provides greater detail on how to caulk your windows like a pro.
When your windows whisper cold air into the room—even with the furnace humming—your home is signaling a quiet energy leak. Gaps around window frames let warm air escape and cold air sink in, forcing your heating system to work overtime. Thankfully, a simple bead of caulk can turn that drip-drip of energy loss into silence.
Step 1: Identify the Leaks
Run your hand around the interior and exterior window trim on a chilly day. Feel a faint draft? That’s your target. You may also see aging, cracked caulk that’s pulling away from the frame.
Step 2: Prep the Surface
Use a putty knife to scrape away old caulk. Wipe the area clean and dry—caulk adheres best to dust-free, moisture-free surfaces.
Step 3: Apply Fresh Caulk
Load a caulk gun with exterior-grade silicone or latex caulk. Starting at one corner, pull the gun along the seam in a steady motion, letting the bead settle like a thin protective ribbon. Smooth it with a damp finger or caulk tool.
Step 4: Let It Cure
Most caulks need 24 hours to fully cure. Avoid opening the window during this time so the seal sets evenly.
Why It Matters
The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that sealing air leaks around windows and doors can save homeowners up to 10–20% on annual heating and cooling costs. A $6 tube of caulk can easily pay for itself within a month of winter weather.
A few careful lines of caulk, and suddenly your home feels warmer, quieter, and decidedly less expensive to heat—a small victory in the season of rising energy bills.

🏀 Full-Throttle Cavaliers Leave Pacers Behind in Dominant Road Victory
Cavs Snap Losing Streak with Commanding 135-119 Win Over Pacers
In Indianapolis, the Cleveland Cavaliers broke out of a three-game slump with a dominant 135-119 victory over the shorthanded Indiana Pacers on Monday night.
Cleveland came out aggressive and never looked back, leading from start to finish. Despite missing six rotation players, the Cavs controlled the pace and brought the intensity that had been lacking in recent games.
Jaylon Tyson, who had been critical of the team’s recent lack of urgency, stepped up with a season-high 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists on highly efficient shooting.
Donovan Mitchell once again led the charge, scoring 43 points in 34 minutes — his third 40-point outing of the season.
Pacers forward Pascal Siakam scored 26 points, but Indiana, playing without key starters including Tyrese Haliburton, couldn’t match Cleveland’s firepower.
The win marked Cleveland’s second against Indiana this season and showed a much-needed return to form for a team with high expectations.

🏀 Twinsburg Downs Mentor 52-40 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse

Mentor’s Hayley McClintock Takes the Shot
The Twinsburg Lady Tigers captured their first win of the season with a 52-40 victory over the Mentor Lady Cardinals on November 30 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
Mentor saw solid contributions across the board despite the loss. Keira Coleman led the Cardinals in scoring with 10 points, while Nina Rodriguez added two assists, three steals, and a block. Ashlyn McKinney pulled down four rebounds and blocked a shot, and Lyla Willis helped anchor the defense by taking two charges. Hayley McClintock also delivered a strong overall performance with a double-digit efficiency rating. Also, Peyton Willis scored her first career basket, a bright spot in the team’s early-season development.
Twinsburg’s team effort and defensive presence paved the way for the win, though individual statistics for the Tigers were not available at the time of reporting.
Both teams now hold a 1-1 record. Mentor will look to rebound in their next matchup, a road game at Medina scheduled for Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
