How One Wellness Brand Is Helping America Sleep Better

You know the importance of sleep, but actually getting enough is easier said than done. One wellness brand decided to study the problem and whether CBD could help.

CBD users have long reported feeling calmer and sleeping better, whether taking the compound by itself or with related hemp-derived compounds like CBN and THC. But rumor isn’t research, so CBDistillery conducted two sleep studies: a 2021 study into CBD and CBN, and a 2023 study with technology app Releaf into CBD, CBN and THC.

Study participants who took CBD and CBN reported falling asleep easier and sleeping an hour longer per night, on average. Study participants who took THC as well as CBD and CBN reported improved quality of sleep and waking up more refreshed the next morning.

🌊 Ohio’s Busiest Waterfront Restaurants: Where Crowds Swell on Summer Weekends

Ohio’s lakefront dining scene comes alive in warm weather, drawing crowds to waterfront restaurants across the state. What seems like a simple dinner plan can quickly turn into a wait, especially on weekends when demand peaks.

Pier W in Lakewood stands out for its elevated Lake Erie views and polished atmosphere, making it a go-to for special occasions. Its popularity makes reservations essential, while weekday lunches offer a quieter alternative.

In Cleveland, e55 on the lake provides a relaxed patio experience right on the shoreline, though its seasonal schedule means planning ahead. Nearby, Merwin’s Wharf in the Flats pairs river views with a casual setting that fills quickly when the weather is nice.

Dock’s Beach House in Port Clinton offers a true beachfront experience, attracting steady summer crowds. Similarly, Eddie’s Grill in Geneva-on-the-Lake draws visitors with its nostalgic charm, where lines move quickly but remain constant during peak times.

Horizons Restaurant at The Lodge adds a more refined option with sweeping lake views, while Chez François in Vermilion delivers a scenic, intimate setting known for special occasions. Both tend to be busiest on weekends, making early or weekday visits the better choice.

For more casual dining, The Patio Restaurant in Lakeside Marblehead is a breakfast favorite that sees heavy morning traffic. On Put-in-Bay, The Boardwalk and The Keys thrive on harbor views and seasonal tourism, creating lively, crowded scenes.

Kelleys Island’s Village Pump and West Bay Inn follow suit, drawing boaters and visitors with waterfront access and scenic sunsets. Inland, Froggy’s at the Lake brings similar energy to Indian Lake, where weekend crowds gather quickly.

Across all these destinations, timing plays a major role. Weekday visits and early arrivals often mean the difference between a relaxed meal and a long wait, making planning key to enjoying Ohio’s most popular waterfront restaurants.

🏀 Cavaliers Rally Late Behind Mitchell, Harden to Top Pelicans

The Cleveland Cavaliers mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans 111-106 on Saturday night, led by Donovan Mitchell and James Harden.

Mitchell scored 27 points, while Harden added 20—all in the second half after being held scoreless before halftime. Trailing by 12 entering the final quarter, Cleveland dominated the period 35-18 to secure the win.

Harden sparked the rally early in the fourth with three 3-pointers and a layup, helping shift momentum. Cleveland took its first late lead on a Max Strus layup and held on down the stretch.

New Orleans had built control earlier, with Zion Williamson scoring 25 points and leading a strong third-quarter push. Saddiq Bey added 19, and Herb Jones contributed with early scoring.
