🌨️ Brace for Drastic Weather Shifts: Wind, Snow, and Rain in Forecast
Scattered snow showers are anticipated, though initial accumulations will likely be limited to rooftops, grassy areas, and elevated surfaces due to residual ground warmth. By Thursday, minor snow accumulations of up to an inch are possible near the lakeshore, while the primary snowbelt could see 1 to 3 inches or more with temps reaching the upper 30’s to near 40.
Lake Erie’s warmer water temperatures, in the 50s, will moderate snow impacts near the shoreline, potentially leading to a mix of rain and snow in these areas. Snow totals will depend on lake enhancement, especially in higher terrain.
Snow showers will continue Thursday before transitioning to lake effect snow later in the day. Those attending the Cleveland Browns game Thursday evening should prepare for cold, windy conditions with potential rain or snow.
The system will start to pull away on Friday, bringing slightly warmer air and transitioning snow to rain. Widespread rain will linger through Saturday, with rainfall totals reaching 1 to 2 inches. By Sunday, drier conditions and highs in the mid to upper 40s are expected.
Looking ahead to next week, temperatures will initially warm up but are forecasted to dip into the 30s and 40s by midweek. Additional rain and possibly a wintry mix could impact Thanksgiving travel plans.

🐶 Essential Tips for New Puppy Owners: Socialization, Training & More
Bringing home a new puppy is undeniably exciting, but it also comes with challenges that extend far beyond managing their irresistible cuteness. Many new dog owners struggle to see beyond those big, innocent eyes and playful antics, only to realize later that raising a well-behaved dog requires consistent effort, patience, and preparation. Without a solid foundation, many young dogs face behavioral issues that can strain relationships with their owners or even lead to surrender at shelters once the "puppy phase" fades.
Here are the key hurdles every new puppy owner should anticipate and strategies to address them effectively.
1. Socialization and Building Confidence
Socializing your puppy is essential to help them navigate the world confidently and calmly. Puppies need to learn how to interact appropriately with other dogs and people while responding to social cues. This process prevents issues like aggression or extreme shyness later on.
One of the best ways to start is by enrolling in a puppy socialization class. These sessions provide a safe, supervised environment where puppies can play and learn social skills. Owners also gain valuable insights into interpreting dog body language, understanding play signals versus bullying, and guiding their puppy through social interactions. This knowledge helps create a positive foundation for future outings and interactions.
2. Basic Training and Obedience
Teaching basic commands like sit, stay, and come is more than just a fun activity—it’s essential for safety and a harmonious relationship with your dog. Commands like "leave it" and "drop it" can even be lifesaving in certain situations. Positive reinforcement techniques, often introduced in obedience classes, are the cornerstone of effective training.
However, training isn’t just for the dog—it’s equally important for owners to learn how to communicate clearly and consistently. By committing to this shared learning experience, you set the stage for a long-lasting bond and good behavior as your puppy matures.
3. Managing Energy and Prey Drive
Puppies are bundles of energy that require regular exercise to prevent destructive behavior. Activities that engage their bodies and minds, like leash training or interactive games, are vital to channeling this energy in healthy ways.
The Bottom Line
Owning a puppy is as rewarding as it is demanding. By addressing their needs for socialization, training, and exercise early on, you’re investing in a happy, well-adjusted companion. The effort you put in during the puppy phase will pay off in the form of a loyal, well-behaved dog for years to come.

🏀 Last Night: Ty Jerome’s Career Night Powers Cavaliers Past Pelicans
The Cleveland Cavaliers cruised to a commanding 128-100 victory over the injury-depleted New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night, with Ty Jerome delivering a career-high performance. Starting in place of injured point guard Darius Garland, Jerome scored 27 points in the first half and finished with 29, including seven 3-pointers before halftime.
Cleveland improved to 16-1, its best start in franchise history, and remained undefeated at home through nine games. Jerome’s second-quarter outburst, featuring three long-range 3-pointers in just over a minute, helped the Cavaliers pull away and build a sizable lead.
Georges Niang contributed 20 points, while rookie Jaylon Tyson impressed in his first professional start with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. Jarrett Allen added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley saw limited minutes as the Cavaliers secured the win early.
For the Pelicans, rookie Antonio Reeves was a bright spot, scoring a career-high 34 points. Brandon Boston Jr. added 14 points, while newly signed Elfrid Payton made his first NBA appearance since May 2022, posting 11 points, eight assists, and five rebounds. The Pelicans struggled without their top six scorers, who were sidelined with injuries, including Brandon Ingram.

🏀 Tuesday Night: Celtics Snap Cavaliers’ 15-Game Streak in 120-117 Thriller
The Boston Celtics handed the Cleveland Cavaliers their first loss of the season Tuesday night, ending the Cavaliers’ historic 15-game winning streak. Jayson Tatum led the charge with 33 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists, as Boston secured a 120-117 victory at TD Garden.
The Celtics built a commanding 21-point lead in the second quarter, fueled by exceptional 3-point shooting. Despite Cleveland's determined rally, which cut the deficit to two points in the third quarter, Boston maintained its composure in the final minutes to claim its third consecutive win.
Donovan Mitchell shone for the Cavaliers with 35 points, while Evan Mobley contributed 22 points and 11 rebounds. Mitchell’s late-game efforts, including a deep 3-pointer and clutch free throws, kept Cleveland in contention. However, Boston sealed the game with a timely inbound play that led to an Al Horford dunk.
Boston’s sharpshooting defined the game, with the team sinking 22 3-pointers, including 14 in the first half. Their strong finish to the second quarter turned a slim five-point lead into a commanding 17-point halftime advantage. Cleveland’s loss marked the end of their franchise-record win streak and highlighted Boston’s status as a top contender in the Eastern Conference.
