ā¾ Lake Catholic Falls to Padua in 3-1 Conference Loss
The Lake Catholic Cougars boys varsity baseball team came up short on the road Thursday, falling 3-1 to the Padua Franciscan Bruins in a closely contested Crown Conference matchup.
Padua jumped out to an early lead with a run in the bottom of the first inning. The Cougars managed to tie the game in the sixth, thanks to a solo home run by Tyler HribarāLake Catholicās only run of the game. But the Bruins responded quickly, plating two runs in the bottom half of the inning to seal the win.
Lake Catholic struggled offensively, recording just three hits and striking out ten times. AJ Trobenter led the team with two of those hits, while Hribarās home run accounted for the third.

š Mobley, Garland, and Hunter All Questionable as Cavaliers Head to Indy
As the Cleveland Cavaliers prepare for a pivotal Game 3 showdown against the Indiana Pacers, injury concerns continue to cloud the teamās outlook. Key contributors Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, and DeāAndre Hunter are all listed as questionable ahead of Fridayās must-win contest in Indianapolis.
Mobley remains sidelined with an ankle sprain suffered in the fourth quarter of Game 1, when he came down awkwardly after a jump shot and landed on Indiana center Myles Turner's foot. The play drew scrutiny from the Cavaliers' coaching staff, who expressed frustration with the lack of a foul call on what they deemed a dangerous closeout.
Hunter, meanwhile, is dealing with a dislocated thumb sustained in the same game. The injury occurred when he was knocked to the floor while attempting a dunk. Though he returned to play after a brief trip to the locker room, the injury has impacted his effectiveness, particularly given that it affects his shooting hand.
Garlandās toe injury has kept him out since the second game of the teamās first-round series against the Miami Heat. If heās unable to suit up on Friday, it will mark his fifth consecutive absence.
With the Cavaliers down 2-0 in the series and facing elimination pressure, even the return of one of these players could provide a much-needed lift. Head coach Kenny Atkinson had previously shown optimism that the extra rest between games might aid recovery, but his latest comments reflect a more cautious tone as the team prepares for Game 3 on the road.
