If dinner has been feeling a little too predictable lately, tonight’s Dinner Rescue is here to shake things up—with two fun, family-friendly meals that deliver big flavor without stretching your grocery bill. These are the kinds of dinners that get kids excited at the table and make parents happy at checkout.
🍕 Pepperoni Pizza Crescent Rolls
This one is an instant win for families. It takes everything kids love about pizza—melty cheese, savory pepperoni, and that warm, comforting flavor—and wraps it into a handheld, golden-baked crescent roll. It’s fun, it’s easy, and it feels a little different from the usual pizza night routine.
What really makes this a standout is how customizable it is. Got picky eaters? No problem. You can keep it simple or sneak in extras like a little sauce or different cheeses. It’s also perfect for busy nights when you need something quick that still feels like a “treat dinner.”

🍲 BBQ Chicken Tater Tot Casserole
Comfort food meets kid-approved creativity with this hearty, one-dish dinner. Crispy tater tots, tender chicken, and a smoky-sweet BBQ flavor come together in a way that feels both familiar and just different enough to keep things interesting.
This is one of those meals that fills the kitchen with an irresistible smell—and fills everyone up without costing a fortune. It’s perfect for feeding a hungry family, and even better, leftovers (if there are any) reheat beautifully.

⚾ Orioles Storm Back with Six-Run Eighth to Stun Guardians
Baltimore mounted a stunning late comeback to beat Cleveland 6-4 on Friday night, highlighted by Jeremiah Jackson’s go-ahead three-run homer in the eighth inning. The home run capped a six-run rally against the Guardians’ bullpen after the Orioles had fallen behind by four runs just an inning earlier.
Cleveland had seized control in the seventh when Daniel Schneemann launched a grand slam, turning a scoreless game into a 4-0 lead following a defensive error, a double, and a walk that loaded the bases.
The game shifted quickly in the eighth as Cleveland’s bullpen faltered. Scott Armstrong allowed two walks and hit a batter without recording an out, opening the door for Baltimore. A sacrifice fly and a two-run double cut the deficit before Jackson delivered the decisive blow with a drive over the left-field wall.
Baltimore’s relievers secured the win, with a clean eighth inning setting up a scoreless ninth to close out the comeback.
The series continues with Baltimore’s Dean Kremer set to face Cleveland’s Gavin Williams, who has been strong early this season.

⚾ Lake Catholic Shuts Out Gilmour Academy in 3-0 Bounce-Back Win
The Lake Catholic Cougars earned a 3-0 victory over Gilmour Academy on Friday, bouncing back in strong fashion after being limited to just one hit the day before. This time, the Cougars flipped the script, holding the Lancers scoreless while allowing only five hits.
After a scoreless battle through five innings, Lake Catholic broke through in the sixth with a single run, then added two more in the seventh to seal the win. The late offensive surge proved to be all the support needed in a tightly contested matchup.
Tyler Hribar led the offense with a standout performance, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Brayden Mann also contributed with two hits, while Quinn Stayer added an RBI to round out the scoring.
Stayer was equally dominant on the mound, tossing a complete-game shutout. He worked all seven innings, allowing five hits while striking out eight and issuing no walks in a commanding pitching display.
With the win, Lake Catholic improves to 6-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Cougars will return to action Monday, April 20, traveling to face Elyria Catholic in a 5 p.m. start.
