Men, You've Been Misinformed
Men's skin is about 25% thicker than women's, but thicker skin doesn't mean better aging. It means delayed collapse. For years, your skin looks resilient. Then collagen declines, and when it does, it drops hard: deeper wrinkles, heavier under-eye bags, more dark spots showing up all at once.
Most men were never taught to get ahead of this. Women were. And by the time the signs show up, you're playing catch-up.
Particle Face Cream was built precisely for this. One 6-in-1 formula engineered for men's skin — reduces eye bags, dark spots, and wrinkles, restores firmness, hydrates deeply, and revives dull tone. No complicated routine. Over 1,000,000 men already use it. Try it risk-free with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

🏘️ Landmark “Playmore” Mansion Hits Market Atop Lake County’s Highest Point

The 'Playmore' in Kirtland, Ohio. (The Agency Cleveland)
A historic estate in Kirtland with deep architectural roots has hit the market for $5.95 million, listed by former Joann Inc. CEO Wade Miquelon.
The mansion, known as “Playmore,” sits atop Pierson’s Knob — the highest point in Lake County — and is surrounded by the preserved landscapes of The Holden Arboretum. Miquelon is only the fourth owner of the property, adding to its exclusivity and historical appeal.
Originally completed in 1929, the home was designed by noted architect Benjamin Hubbell, who also lived there with his family. Hubbell played a significant role in shaping Northeast Ohio’s architectural landscape, contributing to the development of University Circle and designing prominent landmarks such as the Cleveland Museum of Art and the West Side Market.
The expansive estate offers nearly 15,000 square feet of living space, including seven bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and three half baths. The property blends historic character with grand масштаба living, making it one of the region’s most distinctive residential listings.

🚨 Multi-Department Effort Leads to Successful River Rescue in Lake County

Source: Lake County Technical Rescue Task Force
Emergency crews from several Lake County departments carried out a successful river rescue on May 2, according to an update shared on social media the following day.
The Painesville City Fire Department responded to the initial call, with additional support requested from the Perry Joint Fire District, Fairport Harbor Fire Department, and members of the Lake County Technical Rescue Task Force.
Responders found an individual stranded on a river embankment, unable to cross due to strong currents. Rescue teams deployed a specialized river rescue boat, reached the person, and safely brought them off the embankment. The individual was then taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation as a precaution.
Officials highlighted the operation as an example of effective regional cooperation, emphasizing the importance of joint training, coordinated response, and access to specialized equipment in handling complex and potentially dangerous rescue situations.
🚨 Ohio Residents Invited to Honor Officers in 11th Annual Light Ohio Blue Campaign

Communities across Ohio are being encouraged to take part in the 11th annual Light Ohio Blue campaign, a statewide initiative dedicated to honoring fallen law enforcement officers and supporting those who continue to serve.
The campaign invites residents and businesses to show their participation in simple but meaningful ways, including switching porch lights to blue, displaying blue bulbs or decorations, wearing blue clothing, and sharing messages of support on social media using a designated hashtag.
Organizers describe the effort as a unifying tradition that brings people together in remembrance and appreciation. By lighting homes and businesses in blue, participants help create a visible tribute to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty while also recognizing the ongoing commitment of law enforcement personnel across the state.

🏘️ The Real Cost of Buying a Home in Mentor (It’s More Than You Think)
The Real Cost of Buying a Home in Mentor (It’s More Than the Price Tag)
If you’re thinking about buying a home in Mentor, you’ve probably focused on the purchase price and monthly mortgage. But what often surprises buyers—especially first-timers—are the ongoing costs that don’t always show up in the listing.
In today’s Mentor market, where home prices often range from the mid-$200Ks to $400K+ depending on neighborhood and size, your monthly payment is only part of the story.
Property taxes are one of the biggest variables. Lake County property taxes can add several hundred dollars per month depending on the home’s assessed value—and they can change over time.
Then there are utilities, which can vary widely based on the age and efficiency of the home. Older homes—common in many established Mentor neighborhoods—may come with higher heating and cooling costs, especially during Northeast Ohio winters.
Maintenance and repairs are another reality. A general rule of thumb is to budget 1–2% of the home’s value annually. On a $300,000 home, that’s $3,000–$6,000 per year for things like roofs, appliances, and unexpected fixes.
Don’t forget homeowners insurance, which has been rising in many parts of Ohio, along with smaller but important costs like lawn care, snow removal, and HOA fees (where applicable).
None of this is meant to discourage you—it’s meant to prepare you.
The buyers who feel the most confident in their purchase are the ones who understand the full picture, not just the listing price.
If you’re planning to buy in Mentor this year, taking a few extra minutes to map out these real costs can make all the difference between feeling stretched… and feeling secure in your new home.

🏀 Cavaliers Rally Past Raptors in Game 7 to Reach Eastern Semifinals
Cleveland delivered a dominant second-half performance to secure a 114-102 victory over Toronto in Game 7, punching its ticket to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Jarrett Allen matched his postseason career best with 22 points while controlling the glass with 19 rebounds, playing a central role in the Cavaliers’ turnaround.
Donovan Mitchell also scored 22 points, while James Harden contributed 18 in a tightly contested series where each home team protected its court. As the fourth seed, Cleveland now moves on to face top-seeded Detroit in the next round, renewing a Central Division rivalry after splitting their regular-season matchups.
Toronto, making its first playoff appearance since 2022, was led by Scottie Barnes with 24 points and nine rebounds, alongside 23 points from RJ Barrett. The Raptors built momentum early and held a double-digit lead in the second quarter, but were unable to withstand Cleveland’s surge.
The game shifted dramatically during a prolonged stretch spanning the second and third quarters, where Cleveland flipped a deficit into a commanding lead with a 49-21 run. After trailing late in the first half, the Cavaliers closed strong to even the score before taking control early in the third quarter with a burst of scoring that put Toronto on its heels for good.

⚾ Athletics Ride Three Homers to 7-1 Win Over Guardians
The Athletics powered their way to a 7-1 win over Cleveland on Sunday, using three home runs and a strong outing from Aaron Civale to avoid a series sweep.
Colby Thomas set the tone early with his first home run of the season in the second inning. Cleveland responded in the fifth when rookie Chase DeLauter hit a solo shot to tie the game.
Oakland answered immediately, as Zack Gelof and Tyler Soderstrom launched back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the inning to regain the lead. The offense added more runs soon after, including a key bases-clearing double from Jeff McNeil that extended the advantage. Soderstrom led the lineup with three hits.
Civale delivered six solid innings, allowing one run while working out of trouble. The bullpen followed with three scoreless innings to secure the win.
Cleveland starter Parker Messick settled in after the early homer but struggled during the pivotal fifth inning and took the loss. DeLauter remained a bright spot for the Guardians with a strong series at the plate.
