🛡️ Mentor Rocks Highlights Safety Rules for 2026 Summer Shows
MENTOR, Ohio — As the summer concert season begins, Mentor Rocks is reminding attendees of several facility rules intended to keep the experience safe and enjoyable for everyone at the Mentor Civic Amphitheater.
A major change this year is a new no-coolers policy. Guests may still bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages, but items must be carried by hand. Coolers must be returned to vehicles before entering.
Organizers also stress that outside alcohol is prohibited. Possessing or consuming alcohol brought from outside the venue is a criminal misdemeanor in city parks and may result in enforcement action. It also conflicts with the amphitheater’s state-issued liquor permit.
For safety reasons, glass bottles are not permitted on the grounds.
Attendees are asked not to arrange food deliveries directly to the concert field, as they can disrupt performances. Deliveries should be coordinated in the parking lot instead.
Pets are not allowed on the main amphitheater lawn. The policy is intended to improve comfort for guests and protect animals from prolonged exposure to loud music.
Officials encourage concertgoers to review all venue guidelines before attending and look forward to another season of live entertainment. A grounds map and additional information are available at www.mentorrocks.info.
🎓 Mentor High Seniors Take Final Bus Ride to Graduation Ceremony

Mentor Schools
MENTOR, Ohio — A fleet of school buses carrying 532 Mentor High School seniors set out for a milestone moment as students traveled to their commencement ceremony, marking the final school bus ride of their high school careers.
The procession of buses symbolized both an ending and a beginning. After years of classes, activities, friendships, and achievements, graduates made their way toward graduation and the opportunities that await beyond high school.
The journey served as a memorable sendoff for the Class of 2026, offering one last shared experience before receiving diplomas and embarking on the next chapter of their lives.
School officials and community members celebrated the accomplishment, recognizing the hard work and success of the graduating class. As the buses rolled toward the ceremony, they carried students not only to graduation but also toward futures in college, careers, military service, and other pursuits.
The Class of 2026 leaves Mentor High School with much to be proud of and a community cheering them on as they move forward. Congratulations to the class of 2026!

Is Your Home Still the Right Fit for Your Life?
There comes a point when many homeowners stop asking, “How much is my house worth?” and begin asking a different question:
“Does this home still fit the way we live today?”
For many families in Mentor, life looks very different than it did when they first bought their home.
Children grow up and move out. Retirement gets closer. Remote work becomes permanent. Health needs change. What once felt like the perfect house may no longer be the perfect fit.
That doesn't necessarily mean it's time to move.
But it may be worth taking an honest look at whether your home still supports your current lifestyle.
Some homeowners find themselves maintaining rooms that rarely get used. Others wish they had space for a home office, aging parents, or visiting grandchildren. Some are simply growing tired of stairs, large yards, or ongoing maintenance.
Interestingly, many local homeowners are beginning to prioritize convenience and lifestyle over square footage alone.
Questions worth asking include:
Does this home still support my daily routine?
Am I paying for space I no longer use?
Is maintenance becoming more difficult?
Could a different layout improve my quality of life?
Will this home still work for me five or ten years from now?
For some families, staying put is absolutely the right choice.
For others, a move within Mentor may offer a better fit without leaving the community they love.
The most important thing is making decisions based on the life you're living today—not the life you were living when you first bought the home.

⚾ Red Sox Explode for Six-Run Seventh to Rally Past Guardians 9-4
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Guardians let a late lead slip away Sunday, surrendering six runs in the seventh inning during a 9-4 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Progressive Field.
Cleveland carried a 4-3 advantage into the seventh after a solid outing from starter Tanner Bibee, who allowed three runs on six hits over six innings while striking out five. However, the Guardians' bullpen was unable to hold the lead as Boston sent 10 batters to the plate and turned the game around with a six-run rally.
The Red Sox tied the game on a bases-loaded walk before Masataka Yoshida delivered a two-run single to put Boston ahead. Additional RBI hits from Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Caleb Durbin extended the lead and put the game out of reach.
David Fry led Cleveland's offense with three hits, while Austin Hedges drove in two runs. The Guardians collected eight hits but could not recover after the seventh-inning collapse.
Bibee's record dropped to 0-7 despite his quality performance, extending his search for a first win this season. Cleveland finished its six-game homestand with a 2-4 record and now heads on the road for a six-game trip beginning Tuesday against the New York Yankees.

Cam Cannarella tied the game with an RBI single, Brandon Compton added a go-ahead RBI hit, and Carlos Sanchez drove in another run with a sacrifice fly.
The Sky Carp extended their lead throughout the middle innings. Wilfredo Lara delivered an RBI single in the fourth, Compton added another run-scoring hit in the fifth, and Beloit scored twice in the sixth on RBI singles from Cam Clayton and Jesus Hernandez to build a 7-1 advantage.
The Captains rallied in the seventh inning. Esteban González drove in a run with a single, and Tommy Hawke followed with a two-run single to trim the deficit to 7-4. However, Lake County could not generate any more offense.
